Gulf Shores, Alabama is located west of Orange Beach on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. From pristine white-sand beaches to the protected dunes that house endangered species to the vast expanse of the Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores is known for its natural beauty. Gulf Shores sits right on an area known as the Emerald Coast (so named to describe the deep emerald-green color of the Gulf in this area), with fantastic views from the many Gulf-front condos in the area.
Gulf Shores is the site of an annual event called the Gulf Shore Hangout Music Festival, which lasts all weekend long right on the beach and headlines A-list musicians. The Gulf Place area (public beach) is currently being renovated an improved to make it more pedestrian-friendly and help book local economy as part of the Small Town, Big Beach Vision 2025 for Sustainability.
